Linking Tips:
Some people get turned off by affiliate links, so
you may find that you get better results if you “disguise”
the fact that you’re using an affiliate link.
If you have your own web site, you can create a
page that does something called a "redirect". Basically, this means
that your visitor will click a link that looks like a page on your web
site, but then that page sends them invisibly to your affiliate link.
To create a redirect page:
This "redirect" page is what you would share with
people. So rather than people having to type in:
http://AFFILIATE.photohelp.hop.clickbank.net
They could type in:
www.yourwebsite.com/saveyourphotos.html
(Or “organize your photos”,
“photo organizing”, or anything else you’d like.)
The "saveyourphotos.html" document that you would
post on your web site would contain this tag:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH"
CONTENT="0;URL=http://AFFILIATE.photohelp.hop.clickbank.net">
Reminder: Be sure to replace
“AFFILIATE” with your unique Clickbank ID.
(No wrapping lines of course - this would be a
continuous line in your html code. If your browser breaks it up, you
will need to "re-assemble" it in your HTML editor! If you're not clear
on how to incorporate this code into an HTML document, you should
consult your webmaster.)
When visitors go to the saveyourphotos.html page,
they would immediately be redirected to your “Save Your Photos
and Your Sanity” affiliate page, and you would receive full
credit for any resulting sales!
If you don't have a web site of your own and don't
have the ability to create a web page, then you can use a "URL
Shortening" service, such as http://www.tinyurl.com. These services
take a long, awkward URL, and shorten them.
For example, using tinyurl.com, this URL:
http://www.organizedphotos.com/affiliateresourcecenter.html
becomes
http://tinyurl.com/2gxpng
They both go to the same place (the page you're
reading now), but one is highly unlikely to "wrap" in an email program,
and it's not as obvious that it's an affiliate link.
