Photo Therapy Session #5:
The Photo Organizing Obstacle That You Simply Can't Solve by Yourself:
We've looked at most of the factors that keep people from taking action and successfully organizing their treasured photographs and keepsakes.
Throughout this process, I hope that you've gained an understanding of just why it is that you haven't been able to move yourself into action on this significant goal.
I hope that these insights will help you realize that you're not alone in these struggles. I especially hope that you'll let yourself "off the hook" from the guilt you may have been feeling about somewhat neglecting your prized possessions.
Here at Organized Photos, we like to say that there's no guilt allowed! First off, it's completely unproductive (and it just plain feels crummy!) Secondly, you should feel great about the action that you HAVE taken! You committed to this Photo Therapy course, and you've followed through on that commitment. You've made it to the final session!
I do hope that as you went through the previous sessions, you got some new insights and ideas that will help you overcome those first four obstacles.
Obviously, getting over those first four stumbling blocks may not be as easy as simply reading the lessons in this course, but they should definitely help you move in the right direction. So let's move on to number 5.
We have discovered that once people manage to get past those first four stumbling blocks, they meet one final hurdle, which can stop them in their tracks: They just don't know where to begin!
I hear from our website visitors all the time and most of them say the same thing, "I've got 30+ years of photographs - Where do I begin?"
It's a bit like parenting. You know the old joke; our kids didn't come with an owner's manual.
Nearly every person has a large photo collection that is priceless to them, but there's never been an "owner's manual" to teach us how to care for and protect this valuable asset . . . until now, of course ;)
If you're feeling confused about organizing your photographs and you just don't know where to start, don't worry ... there is hope:
Fortunately, you can be well on your way to having this problem licked!
We have spent over two years outlining a proven step-by-step plan that can help you conquer your piles of photographs--once and for all.
In our e-book, "Save Your Photos and Your Sanity" we do more than share the specifics on how to safely care for photographs. We actually help you evaluate your personal needs and organizing style, and we offer three distinct plans for accomplishing the task so that you can successfully organize your photographs in a way that works for you.
And, of course, another way that you can overcome the confusion is to continue to check in with us at Organized Photos.
